Student Success Act heads to the House floor
This. Is. It.
Have you heard the amazing news? Tonight, The Student Success Act cleared a huge hurdle when the Joint Committee on Student Success voted to send it to the Oregon House for a vote. This is a major milestone 30 years in the making, and it brings us one important step closer to investing $2 billion in Oregon students. By requiring large companies to pay their share in taxes, we can make our schools stronger and our tax system fairer.
Your work has helped to bring us to this moment. Together, we’ve marched, we’ve emailed, we’ve called, and we’ve testified. And we aren’t done yet. The House could vote on the Student Success Act any day now, and it’s up to us to make sure legislators hear loud and clear that voting YES is the only way to support our students.
You can help guarantee that this historic vote goes the right way. We need you to call your legislators today — it takes just a few minutes, and there is no more important moment to make sure legislators hear from their constituents.
With your help, we can finally turn the tide of disinvestment and support all Oregon students!
